The full fee for the School, which includes accommodation, meals, teaching materials and the social programme, is £900. Financial support in the form of full- and partial- bursaries/scholarships (to cover accommodation, meals, teaching materials and in some cases travel) is available to eligible researchers based at institutions in the following list of countries:
Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritania, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Tajikistan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Kingdom, United States, Ukraine and Uzbekistan
NOTE: To be eligible for financial support, the regular place of work of the applicant should be in one of these countries, independent of the applicant’s nationality.
These bursaries are intended to assist PhD students and young researchers. The deadline for application for financial support is 28th February 2011 .
All places at the School have now been allocated. No further applications can be considered.
The application process will proceed in two stages, with important dates summarised below.
Stage 1: Applicants should download, complete and submit the application form below before 28th February 2011.
Stage 2: Decisions on bursary/scholarship allocations will be made and communicated to applicants by 31st March 2011. Payment of the school fee will then open on the 1st April 2011. Payment of the outstanding part of the fee (where applicable) will confirm a place at the School. The deadline for the fee payment is 30th April 2011. For partial-bursary recipients, if the remaining part of the fee is not paid by the deadline then the partial-bursary may be allocated to another applicant.
